Celtic under 19’s scored eight without reply against Queen of the South at a cold and wet Hampden Park in front of a vociferous Celtic crowd. The victory was the largest ever for a Scottish Youth Cup Final. Callum McGregor struck a hat-trick; Dylan McGeouch got a brace, while Filip Twardzik, Jackson Irvine and John Herron also scored for Celtic.

Well the weekend that both Ross County and Alloa Athletic were already Champions of their respective division threw up interesting games in which they were involved whilst relegation threatened clubs hung on for a further week or two. With nobody down yet the whole issue of what do play off bring is simply excitement for the end of the season.

A mixed tale from last weekend saw some celebrations, some put on hold and deep dark despair in some of the lower reaches in each of the divisions. Hamilton Accies chairman Ronnie MacDonald has quit New Douglas Park after nine years. In a statement on the Accies website he stated that he was passing the chairmanship on to Les Gray and resigns as a Director of the club with immediate effect also
