With a couple of questions remaining – who will get 4th place and the final play off spot as well as who will end up 9th in the Second Division still to be decided – this weekend’s fixtures could take on an air of pointlessness. However the number of teams that will bring youth in to play a part means

As we all thought before the games, we are now all looking at who gets relegated and who can squeeze into the play offs after the weekend. As we go into the weekend fixtures we are now seeing that things are beginning to settle and the Championships may well be going to those clubs sitting at the top of each of the Divisions right here, right now. A complete collapse may be all that the others can hope for now as Ross County, Cowdenbeath and Alloa Athletic

Quarter Final weekend in the Scottish Cup sees Ayr United flying the flag for the lower league with a home tie against Hibernian. Brian Reid’s side have had a fantastic run this year in both cups and despite being in 8th in the First Division there are no doubts that this is a very real opportunity for the club to

It’s been another week of midweek fixtures that appear to have consolidated positions rather than provide us with the excitement of things hotting up. There were two exceptions which were the 3-1 win for Stirling Albion against Brechin City which should have given them hope that the drop may not be all the options available to them and the Queens

Midweek results saw cup specialists, Ayr United progress into the Quarter Finals of the Scottish Cup at the expense of another SFL club – Falkirk. The other SFL clubs in action in the cup failed to progress past their SPL opposition though Aberdeen had to make it another last gasp escape against Queen of the South and Ross County lost
