Former Celtic midfielder Stan Petrov diagnosed with leukaemia

Former Celtic midfielder and current Aston Villa captain Stiliyan Petrov has been diagnosed with acute leukaemia. He was diagnosed after undergoing tests, when he developed a fever after last Saturday's defeat to Arsenal.The 32-year-old spent seven years at Celtic Park, signed by John Barnes in 1999.
