KEVIN NISBET is on the brink of agreeing a £2.4million switch to Championship side Millwall.

The 25-year-old Hibs striker, who has been linked with a move to Celtic in recent seasons, will hold talks with the English club today.

The London outfit have failed with THREE previous bids for the Scotland international, but the Easter Road side are now ready to cash in on the latest offer which is reported to be £2million up front plus add-ons.

The Edinburgh club’s owner Ron Gordon was keen to keep Nisbet, who has netted seven goals in as many games since returning from an ACL injury last month.

GREEN FOR GO…Kevin Nisbet is ready to quit Edinburgh for London.

The powerful frontman, who was brought to Hibs in a £250,000 switch from Dunfermline by ex-gaffer Jack Ross in July 2020, has only 18 months left on his terms and the club have decided not to take the chance in the player running down his contract.

Nisbet, who is due to undergo a medical today, could be in line for a debut at home to Sunderland a week on Saturday, according to a report in the Daily Record.

Team-mate Ryan Porteous, who is also a current Scotland international, is also heading for the Championship with Watford.

His current deal expires in the summer when he will be able to walk away for free.
