THE Premiership big guns will go into the Scottish Cup fourth round draw on Monday night.
The ballot will be made live on BBC Scotland immediately after the Ayr United v Pollok tie at Somerset Park which will kick off at 7.45pm.
Holders Rangers, who beat Hearts 2-0 in extra-time to claim the silverware last season, and champions Celtic, who also triumphed in the League Cup, head the 12 top-flight teams at the fourth stage of the national competition.
They will be joined by the winners of this weekend’s ties, including Alloa who overcame Open Goal Broomhill 2-1 with a stoppage-time penalty-kick by Scott Taggart last night. Luke Donnelly had put the Recreation Park side in the lead on the half-hour mark, but former Rangers and Scotland defender Kirk Broadfoot claimed a 79th-minute equaliser.
The fourth round ties are scheduled for the weekend of January 21/22 2023 and all ties will be played to a conclusion with extra-time and penalty-kicks if required. There will be no replays.
The Scottish Cup Final is due at Hampden on Saturday June 3 2023.
