STEVE CLARKE has been hit by THREE call-offs before Scotland’s friendly in Turkey on Wednesday.

Southampton striker Che Adams, Everton right-back Nathan Patterson and Norwich City midfielder Kenny McLean are all out of the first fixture between the countries in 62 years.

All three played the full 90 minutes for their clubs at the weekend with Adams scoring the Saints’ goal in their 3-1 defeat to Liverpool at Anfield. No official reason has been given for the withdrawals and, as of yet, no replacements have been drafted in.

The loss of a trio of players will come as a blow to Clarke, who was also prevented from naming anyone from Celtic in his squad due to the Parkhead club making their stars unavailable as they head for Australia to play Sydney FC and Everton in the inaugral Sydney Super Cup competition.

Clarke’s side will face the Turks at the Diyarbakir Stadium with a 5pm kick-off.
