VETERAN keeper Allan McGregor is on the verge of a sensational one last bumper pay day.

The 40-year-old shotstopper is weighing up his next move after coming out of contract at Rangers.

The former Scotland international No.1 has been offered a lucrative two-year contract from the United Arab Emirates, according to a report in the Scottish Sun.

THE RANGERS KISS-OFF? Allan McGregor with the Scottish Cup after replacing Jon McLaughlin in the fading moments against Hearts last month in what could be his final appearance for the Ibrox club.

McGregor, who made a cameo appearance in place of Jon McLaughlin in the 2-0 Scottish Cup Final win over Hearts last month, has had talks with the club over an extension, but negotiations have not advanced.

That has opened the door for a money-spinning move to the Middle East for the Ibrox fans’ favourite who played in the penalty-kick shoot-out loss to Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa League Final in Seville last month.

Back-up McLaughlin is now expected to step up as first choice.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst has already secured Connor Goldson, Steven Davis and Scott Arfield on new contracts.
