NATHAN PATTERSON is on the brink of quitting Rangers in a £10million switch to Everton.
The 20-year-old Scotland international defender looks to be heading to Goodison after only 27 first-team appearances since his debut in January 2020.
Six times-capped Patterson last featured in the 1-0 victory over Dundee United on December 18 and has been frustrated at lack of game time as understudy to captain James Tavernier, according to a report in the Scottish Sun.
The Merseyside outfit had a £3million bid rejected in the summer, but are ready to come back with a more realistic offer in this transfer window.
Patterson is heading to a struggling club – with manager Rafa Benitez under pressure following the 3-2 home defeat to Brighton, an eighth loss in the last 12 Premiership games which leaves them languishing in 15th in the Premier League.
