0

OLD FIRM youngsters David Turnbull and Nathan Patterson are two of three uncapped players who have been included in Steve Clarke’s Scotland squad for next month’s Euro Finals.

Chelsea midfielder Billy Gilmour makes up the trio as he joins the Celtic midfielder and the Rangers right-back in the 26-man pool.

Winger James Forrest, who has struggled with ankle and back injuries for most of the season, also gets the nod for the Group D games against the Czech Republic at Hampden on June 14, England at Wembley four days later and Croatia on the 22nd in Glasgow.

Thirty-year-old Hoops striker Leigh Griffiths, who was hoping for a late call-up despite only seven goals in a season where he has struggled for game time, is overlooked with Clarke giving the nod to Hibs youngster Kevin Nisbet. Aberdeen centre-back Andrew Considine is also overlooked.

Sheffield United forward Oli McBurnie was ruled out with a fractured foot midfielders Ryan Jack, of Rangers, and Norwich City’s Kenny McLean are also sidelined.
