FORMER Hamilton Accies boss Alex Neil is on the look-out for a new club after leaving Preston.
The under-pressure departed following the Deepdale side’s 1-0 home loss to Luton, their third successive defeat that leaves them in 16th place in the Championship, nine points above the relegation zone.
Preston, with former Celtic star Scott Sinclair in the line-up, have won just three times in their last 17 fixtures in all competitions.
Thirty-nine-year-old Neil took charge of the club in July 2017 and led them to a seventh-place finish in the second tier. They could only achieve 14th spot in the 2018/19 season before Neil guided them to ninth last term.
Bellshill-born Neil, who also managed Norwich City after leaving Accies, admitted he had “been looking over my shoulder since the transfer window closed” as the speculation mounted he was in line for the axe.
