THERE was a late flurry of action before the midnight transfer deadline.

Rangers got their man in a loan deal for Florian Kamberi from Hibs with midfielder Greg Docherty going in the opposite direction.

Easter Road boss Jack Ross also brought in Scotland international hitman Marc McNulty for his second stint with the Leith outfit. Kike Docherty, he will be at Easter Road for the remainder of the campaign.

Neil Lennon was linked with two wingers – Newcastle’s Christian Atsu and Utrecht’s Gyrano Kerk – but no business was done and the Celtic boss appears satisfied with the two new Bhoys he brought in, £3.5million Polish striker Patryk Klimala and £2million Ivorian midfield anchorman Ismaila Soro.

The Hoops also distanced themselves from reports stating they were ready to bring back 28-year-old Kenyan Victor Wanyama from Spurs.

However, there was activity elsewhere with former Scotland and Gers defender Kirk Broadfoot sealing a return to Kilmarnock after paying his own transfer fee.

Axed Hearts skipper Christophe Berra agreed a loan move to Championship Dundee for the rest of the term. The Tynecastle side added Marcel Langer, but missed out on Barnsley’s Mamadou Thiam.

Motherwell completed a late loan for Newcastle’s Rolando Aarons, but lost promising youngster James Scott to Hull City.

Winger David Templeton is back at Hamilton Accies and Aberdeen agreed a deal to sign right-back Roland Hernandez.
