CELTIC are fuming over reported interest from Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester City in one of the club’s top young prospects.

The former Parkhead gaffer has been linked with the Hoops’ Scotland Under-16 international midfielder Tsoanelo Letsosa, according to Football Insider.

The teenager has starred for for the club’s youths and also for his country, who were crowned joint-winners of the Victory Shield along with Wales.

Letsosa, who is of South African descent, joined Celtic in 2017, a year after Rodgers arrived as the successor to Ronny Deila. Kolo Toure, who agreed a one-year deal as a player before moving onto the coaching staff, is said to be have been highly impressed with the playmaker.

It has been made clear any move from the Midlands club for a player the champions believe is one of their hottest prospects would not be welcomed.

Letsosa has yet to sign a professional contract with the Parkhead side.

Rodgers, of course, was reported to be interested in Callum McGregor in the summer before the Scotland international midfielder agreed an extension at Scotland’s title kings.

And 24-goal man Odsonne Edouard, who was brought to the Hoops by the Irishman for a club record £9million from Paris Saint-Germain in June 2018, has also been mentioned along with the King Power outfit.

The French ace, who still has two years to run on his contract, has stated he is perfectly happy with life at Celtic and is focused totally on bringing even more silverware to the east end of Glasgow in what could emerge as another record-breaking campaign.
