RANGERS have been drawn against Bundelsiga cracks Bayer Leverkusen in the Europa League last 16.
Steven Gerrard’s side were handed one of the toughest ties of round with their opponents in excellent form in the German top flight, just six points off top spot.
They reached this stage of the competition after thumping Porto 5-3 on aggregate.
Coincidentally, the Ibrox side also overcame Portuguese opposition in Braga 4-2 overall after winning home and away.
Gerrard’s form in Europe has been very impressive and they had to fight all the way to reach this round. They were training Braga 2-0 after an hour in Glasgow, but rallied to win 3-2 and a goal from Ryan Kent away from home sealed their place against the Germans.
Manchester United will face LASK while Wolves will take on Olympiakos who shocked Arsenal 2-1 in London last night with a stoppage-time winner to go through on the goals away rule after losing 1-0 in Greece.
Tournament favourites Inter Milan will go up against Spanish outfit Getafe. Five-time winners Sevilla will also take on Roma.
