CELTIC have been linked with Manchester City winger Ian Poveda.

The Hoops already have Daniel Arzani on loan from the English champions, but could now look at his Etihad team-mate who is out of contract at the end of the season.

Poveda, 19, is a wanted man with Leeds United also tracking him and Serie A outfits Torino and Parma also monitoring the situation, as reported in the Daily Mail.

The forward was born in London to Colombian parents and had spells with Chelsea, Arsenal, Brentford and Barcelona academies.

The England Under-20 international made his first-team debut a year ago when he appeared in City’s League Cup semi final win over Burton Albion.

Poveda trains with Pep Guardiola’s first-team squad, but, with six months left on contract, they are willing to let him go now.

That has alerted the Hoops who have a good relationship with the Manchester outfit and bought right-back sensation Jermie Frimpong from them in the summer transfer window.
