OLIVIER NTCHAM has emerged as an £8million target for French outfit Lille.

The Celtic midfielder has already been linked with Marseilles and Porto this year and looked to be on his way out of Parkhead in the summer after revelations to the French media.

However, after a talk with boss Neil Lennon, the powerhouse performer, who was signed by ex-gaffer Brendan Rodgers for £4.5million from Manchester City in the summer of 2017, has settled into playing a key role this season.

The former Under-21 star scored the winning goal against Lazio in the 2-1 Europa League Group E triumph that handed the Hoops their first triumph on Italian soil in 13 attempts.

Lille have reportedly identified the 23-year-old playmaker as a possible replacement for Boubakary Soumaré, who has been linked with Manchester United and Spurs.

Ntcham agreed a contract extension in November last year and sealed a deal to keep him at the champions until June 2022.
