BOBBY MADDEN will be the man in the man in charge when Rangers and Celtic meet at Ibrox in the High Noon showdown on Sunday.

The 40-year-old whistler will be assisted by Graeme Stewart and Frank Connor while Willie Collum, who refereed the Hoops’ 3-1 win over Hearts at Parkhead on Sunday, will be the fourth official.

Madden was in the middle during the stormy encounter between the sides in late March in the east end of Glasgow when Alfredo Morelos was red-carded after an off-the-ball incident with Scott Brown.

There was also an ugly confrontation at the end of the game, which was won 2-1 by the home side with goals from Odsonne Edouard and James Forrest with on-loan Ryan Kent making it 1-1 at one stage for the 10-man visitors.

After the full-time whistle, Gers’ left-back Andy Halliday confronted Brown and picked up a second yellow card to serve a suspension.

Rangers boss Steven Gerrard also accepted a one-game touchline ban for comments made towards the match official.
