ARSENAL are keen to reopen talks with Celtic in their £25million pursuit of Kieran Tierney.
And Gunners boss Unai Emery could receive an unexpected “windfall” to his meagre transfer war-chest with the news another of his targets, Wilfried Zaha, could be on his way to Everton in a £60million switch.
The Spaniard’s priority signings this summer have been Tierney and Crystal Palace’s flamboyant Ivory Coast international forward.
The London side have already seen a £40million offer rejected and have had no luck with the Hoops, either, with two bids being booted into touch.
Arsenal’s initial submission of £15million a month ago was immediately knocked back and they returned with a £25million submission at the weekend, but that did not satisfy the Hoops, either, with far too many unrealistic add-ons.
But they could now have extra cash in the kitty to put together a proposal the Scottish champions may find acceptable.
The Goodison Park outfit are in talks with Palace to sign Zaha with a cash bid of £60million plus a player, Sky Sports News report.
The exciting raider’s preference would be to remain in London, but he is understood to be willing to move back to the north-west, despite an unsuccessful two-year spell at Manchester United before he returned to Palace.
The south Londoners value Zaha at a whopping £80million and are under no financial pressure to sell having already picked up £50million for right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka from the Old Trafford side last month.
