VETERAN frontman Kenny Miller will sign for Partick Thistle today following his release from relegated Dundee.

The 39-year-old ex-Scotland international will put pen to paper on a one-season deal for the Firhill club after being persuaded to join up for the Maryhill side’s Premiership promotion push by his former Celtic team-mate Gary Caldwell.

THE HIGH JUMP…Dundee striker Kenny Miller is beaten to the ball by Celtic defender Dedryck Boyata.

Thistle have lost attackers Scott McDonald and Kris Doolan this summer, but Miller will now jet out to join the Jags squad at their pre-season training camp in La Manga.

A year ago, the three-times Rangers striker was preparing for life in the top flight after taking over as player-boss at newly-promoted Livingston.

However, his rein in the Livi hot seat was cut short when he was axed before heading for the doomed Dens Parkers.

Caldwell believes his old Parkhead colleague, who started his career at Hibs,  will be crucial in their efforts to get back into the big-time.
