GREG STEWART has agreed a move to Rangers after being released by Championship side Birmingham City.

The 29-year-old forward, who has had loan spells at Kilmarnock and Aberdeen this season, will sign for the Ibrox outfit when his contract at St Andrews expires this summer, according to Sky SportsNews.

Stewart kicked off the campaign at Rugby Park, but switched to Pittodrie in January. He claimed 10 goals in 36 games in an eventful campaign.

He was signed by the Midlands outfit from Dundee in 2016, but has struggled to make an impact across the border and failed to score in 22 matches for the club.

Ibrox boss Steven Gerrard, who saw his team lose 2-1 to Killie in Ayrshire yesterday to finish the Premiership campaign nine points behind champions Celtic, has already started rebuilding for the new season.

The Liverpool legend has completed deals for Kilmarnock winger Jordan Jones, Motherwell forward Jake Hastie and Southampton midfielder Steven Davis, who will extend his second spell at the club following his recent loan stint.
