CELTIC and Rangers have both been fined £7,500 for the rumpus at the end of a stormy game at Parkhead in March where the Hoops won 2-1 with a late goal from James Forrest.

A bad-tempered encounter saw Ibrox striker Alfredo Morelos red-carded after elbowing Scott Brown in the face. Ryan Kent then punched the Celtic captain on the jaw in the immediate aftermath of the winning goal.

Referee Bobby Madden missed the flashpoint incident, but it was caught on camera and the on-loan Liverpool winger was automatically banned for the next match.

Defender Andy Halliday picked up a second yellow card for his part in a rammy after the final whistle and he, too, was suspended.

Both clubs were charged by the SFA following the incident, with the Parkhead side’s 33-year-old midfielder Brown cleared of any wrong-doing at a disciplinary tribunal for his part a week ago.
