ALFREDO MORELOS has agreed a new contract with Rangers until 2023.

It is the SECOND extension to his deal the controversial Colombian has signed this season as he has attracted attention from across the border and the English top flight.

Morelos has scored 28 goals in a prolific campaign and will hope to add to that tally against Hibs at Easter Road this evening as Steven Gerrard’s side hope to cut leaders Celtic’s advantage at the top of the Premiership to five points.

The 22-year-old hitman has been in demand this term and was persuaded to pen an extension until 2022 in September.

However, his latest agreement will not stop the big-money clubs from monitoring his situation.

Scotzine pointed out earlier this week that Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund were in pursuit of the lively raider who has been sent off four times this season – three against Aberdeen.

The frontman is likely to go into action against the Dons on Tuesday when the clubs meet in the Scottish Cup quarter-final replay at Ibrox for the right to face Celtic in the last four.
