DUNDEE midfielder Glen Kamara admitted he was “absolutely delighted” to complete his switch to Rangers after the clubs agreed a fee in the region of £50,000.

The Finland international had already signed a pre-contract deal with the Ibrox side and was due to make the move in the summer.

However, following negotiations between the two clubs, a fee was settled allowing Kamara to move now and join Steven Gerrard’s side as they aim for silverware this season.

He tweeted: “Absolutely delighted to be joining @RangersFC a club with so much history and I can’t wait to get started! I would also like to say a big thanks to @DundeeFC for the last year and a half, I wish the club nothing but success in the future.”

The 23-year-old former Arsenal youth star had not been playing for the Tayside outfit in recent matches while Dens Park manager Jim McIntyre made it clear he preferred Kamara to leave during the January window.
