HIBS have spoken to former Barnsley and Leeds United boss Paul Heckingbottom in their search for Neil Lennon’s successor.
The Edinburgh club parted company with the Irishman last week following his two and a half years in charge at Easter Road.
Heckingbottom, 41, is currently out of work after leaving Elland Road in June 2018 after fewer than four months in the Championship side’s hot seat.
Academy coach Eddie May has taken over the role on an interim basis since Lennon’s suspension and departure and will again lead the team when they face Celtic in the Premiership at Parkhead this evening.
Dean Holden, current Bristol City No.2 and former Falkirk star, ex-Shrewsbury and Ipswich manager Paul Hurst and ex-Hibs first team coach John Doolan are also in the frame.
