RANGERS’ controversial Columbian striker Alfredo Morelos will face no further action following incidents in his side’s 1-0 win over Celtic at the weekend.

The forward was seen to aim a kick at Hoops skipper Scott Brown at Ibrox. He also caught grounded right-back Anthony Ralston with his studs and looked to have pulled midfielder Ryan Christie.

The SFA examined the incidents during the confrontation and have adjudged no further action be taken against the player who has been red-carded three times in this campaign although one – against Aberdeen at Pittodrie – was later rescinded.

It has been deemed by that referee John Beaton saw all three incidents, in full, at the time, meaning no retrospective action can be taken.

Steven Gerrard’s side battled to a victory with a Ryan Jack goal in the first-half and are now joint-top of the Premiership table on points with Brendan Rodgers’ seven-in-a-row champions who are ahead on goal difference.
