STEVEN GERRARD has admitted he would run further than Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp did if Rangers score a last-minute winner against Celtic.
The Anfield manager has accepted an FA charge of misconduct following racing onto the pitch to celebrate with keeper Alisson after his team’s last-gasp points-clincher against Everton on Sunday.
Kop legend Gerrard revealed he might not be able to hold back his emotions if he was faced with a similar scenario during an Old Firm confrontation.
The Ibrox gaffer said: “I’ve never been manager when a last-minute derby winner goes in, don’t be surprised if you see me run further!
“We all have responsibilities, but emotions take over and it’s good to see managers and players celebrate.”

Gerrard has no injury worries after Sunday’s dramatic 2-1 win over Hearts at Tynecastle where the team finished with 10 men following Scott Arfield’s red card.
On-loan winger Ryan Kent has also come through two full days training as he steps up his injury comeback, but tonight’s Premiership game against beaten Betfred League Cup Finalists Aberdeen at Ibrox will come too soon for him.
Borna Barisic played 45 minutes of Monday’s 5-0 reserve win over Kilmarnock and could be involved at some stage against the Dons.
Derek McInnes’ men drew 1-1 with Gers at Pittodrie in the league at Pittodrie earlier in the season and a goal from Lewis Ferguson gave the Pittodrie outfit a 1-0 victory in the Betfred semi-final.
