ABERDEEN built on their Betfred League Cup semi-final win over Rangers with a solid 3-0 victory over HAMILTON ACCIES at Pittodrie last night.

Skipper Graeme Shinnie opened the scoring in the eighth minutes and on-loan Manchester United striker James Wilson added a spectacular second from 25 yards.

Former Hamilton star Mikey Devlin scored the third from even further out with keeper Gary Woods making a complete mess of attempting to push the ball round the post. Completing an agonising night for the Accies, they had captain Dougie Imrie sent off in injury time.

MOTHERWELL eased their worries at the foot of the Premiership with a 2-0 victory over hapless St MIRREN.

The win, just the Fir Parkers’ second in 10 league matches, was sealed with goals either side of half-time from David Turnbull and Chris Cadden.

ST JOHNSTONE winger Matty Kennedy’s early goal was enough to secure all three points at LIVINGSTON.
