DUNDEE UNITED have sacked manager Csaba Laszlo following the embarrassing 5-1 flop against Ross County at Tannadice at the weekend.

A hat-trick from Billy Mckay and goals from Sean Kelly and Josh Mullin signalled the end for the ex-Hearts gaffer on Tayside, with Laurie Ellis taking charge in an interim capacity.

United will now turn their attentions to recruiting a new manager, as they look to get their season in the Championship back on track.

Chairman Mike Martin said: “I would like to thank Csaba for the considerable commitment he showed during his time at Dundee United and for his contribution to improving the underpinning football structure at the club.

“We wish him all the best for the future. I can also confirm that Laurie Ellis has taken interim management responsibility for the team.”
