FORREST ZEROES IN ON 77

JAMES FORREST is hoping to make his 77th European appearance for Celtic against RB Salzburg in Austria tomorrow night.

The Scotland international is currently TWENTY-THREE games behind skipper Scott Brown who is likely to hit the ton in the Europa League Group B confrontation.

Forrest is looking forward to the challenge of the Austrian champions and said: “Playing in Europe for Celtic is what you want to do as a player.

“We got a good result at home against Rosenburg. It was important to start the group-stages with a win and we’ll be looking to get all three points in Austria.

“It’s going to be a tough match. They had a good win against Leipzig in their first game, so that tells you how good they are. But we got a good result out there the last time we played them in a 2-2 draw and that’s what we’re determined to do again.”

Forrest’s first sample of European football came in July 2010 when he came on as a substitute late in the Champions League qualifier away to Portuguese side, Sporting Braga, on a night when the Neil Lennon’s side lost 3-0.
