STEVEN NAISMITH has been reward with a Scotland international call-up following his exhilarating start to the season at Hearts.

The frontman, who has rattled in seven goals since returning on loan from Norwich City, was hoping for a cap comeback, as Scotzine reported yesterday.

Naismith, 31, was given the nod by boss Alex McLeish to join the squad as they prepare for Friday’s friendly against Belgium and Monday’s UEFA Nations League match against Albania, both at Hampden. The 45-times capped attacker will have Celtic’s Leigh Griffiths to contend with to lead his country’s firing line.
