‘NO McKENNA DEAL,’ CELTIC BOSS

0

ABERDEEN have been told by Brendan Rodgers that Celtic have ended their interest in Scott McKenna.

The Dons rejected a £3.5million offer from the champions earlier this week and insisted their 21-year-old Scotland international centre-half was not for sale.

The Pittodrie side, who have also repelled interest in McKenna from Championship sides Swansea and Hull City, rate the player in the £10million bracket.

Rodgers’ is searching for at least one new centre-half as the uncertainty continues around Dedryck Boyata who called off for the fight to Lithuania yesterday for tonight’s Europa League first leg play-off against FK Suduva.

The Hoops boss said of McKenna: “He is a young player I like, but it was made clear Scott won’t be for sale in this window, so that would end that.”
