IZZY SET FOR HOOPS RETURN

0

EMILIO IZAGUIRRE is set to return to Celtic – only a year after leaving the champions.

The 32-year-old Honduras international will provide cover for left-back Kieran Tierney.

Izaguirre spent seven seasons at Parkhead and won six titles before moving to Saudi Arabian outfit Al-Fayha.

He signed a two-year deal with the club, but agreed to terminate his contract and is ready for a return to Brendan Rodgers’ squad.

* CELTIC are expected to complete a two-year loan deal for 19-year-old Australian World Cup winger Daniel Arzani once the paper work is put in place following his £280,000 switch to Manchester City from Melbourne City.

* HIBS have agreed a loan deal with Manchester City for Ghana international winger Thomas Agyepong. He will join up with Neil Lennon’s squad once the necessary visa process has been completed.

The 21-year-old attacker has yet to make an appearance for the Premier League champions. He has spent time at FC Twente before he played for two seasons at NAC Breda where he made 39 appearances and scored twice.

* FORMER Rangers striker Martyn Waghorn has signed a three-year deal at Derby after a £5million switch from Ipswich. The Ibrox side sold him to the Portman Road side exactly a year ago in a bargain £250,000 switch.

New County boss Frank Lampard said: “Martyn has many great qualities and he has been pretty prolific over the last few years in front of goal.”

Waghorn scored 16 goals in 44 Championship appearances last season and the Ibrox are expected to get a percentage of Ipswich’s profit in a sell-on clause.

* FALKIRK have signed former Morton defender Mark Russell on a short-term contract until January. The left-back, 22, had trails with St Johnstone and Dundee during the summer after quitting the Cappielow outfit.
