CELTIC youngster Jack Aitchison is poised to sign a new deal at the Hoops – and then agree a five-month loan at Dumbarton.
The striker boasts the honour of being the Parkhead side’s youngest-ever player and goalscorer.- netting at the age of 16 years and 71 days in a final-day 7-0 Premiership win over Motherwell in May 2016.
It was Ronny Deila’s final match in charge of the team before making way for Brendan Rodgers.
Sons boss Stephen Aitken said: “It is not over the line yet, but the signs are good that Jack will join us. Everything is in place for what would be a terrific signing for Dumbarton.”
Young Celtic left-back Calvin Miller, who had just agreed a two-year contract with the champions, moved to Dundee on a season-long move last week.
