SCOTT BROWN believes the 1-0 victory over Hamilton Accies is the perfect launching pad for a massive two games in six days for Celtic.

Comeback man Dedryck Boyata got the winner at Parkhead to set up the Hoops for a double crunch against SK Suduva in the second leg of the Europa League Play-off on Thursday and the visit of Steven Gerrard’s Rangers on Sunday.

Speaking of the performance against Accies, Brown said: “We knew it was going to be hard. We knew they were going to defend for their lives.

“Hamilton do that all the time against us here. They were well-organised. They have obviously been watching how we play.

“They’ve let us have the ball at the back, but they didn’t cause us too many problems. They had a shot inside the first couple of minutes, but after that I think we controlled the game from start to finish.
“For us, we’re just looking forward to Thursday now. We’ll make sure we push on and get into the Europa League and then we have a big game on Sunday.

“We have two big games and we need two big victories to put a big smile on everyone’s face.”
