OLD FIRM TARGET’S LOAN MOVE

0

FORMER Celtic and Rangers target Harry Wilson is poised to quit Liverpool for a season-long loan at Derby County.

The Anfield side’s Welsh winger is eager for first-team football and new Pride Park boss Frank Lampard can just about guarantee regular appearances in the Championship.

Stoke and Swansea have also shown an interest in the 21-year-old raider who spent the second half of the previous campaign at Hull City.

* SWANSEA have been linked with a £2million raid on Aberdeen’s Scotland international central-half Scott McKenna. Dons boss Derek McInnes is unlikely to do business at that level for his highly-rated 21-year-old stopper.

* MOTHERWELL have knocked back a five-figure bid from League Two outfit Grimsby for 26-year-old striker Ryan Bowman, who joined the Fir Park side on a free transfer from Gateshead two years ago.

* RANGERS have been linked with Blackpool centre-half Curtis Tilt. The 6ft 3in stopper is on Steven Gerrard’s radar – if he fails in his £3million bid for Millwall’s Jake Cooper.

* SCOTS boss Steve Evans is delighted to have landed former Rangers loan striker Jason Cummings at Peterborough on a season-long temporary contract from Nottingham Forest, as Scotzine reported on Saturday. He said: “He is looking to get his career going again by scoring goals and helping us to be successful.”
