ODSONNE EDOUARD is planning on going on a goal rampage to lead Celtic to a third successive domestic clean sweep.
And the Hoops’ £9million man, signed on a permanent contract from Paris Saint-Germain following last season’s loan spell, has already struck up a partnership with his compatriot Moussa Dembele.
Edouard, who is swiftly becoming a fans’ favourite at the champions, said: “My main objective is to win the three trophies, like we did last season.
“I don’t think of anything else at the moment. I am a still a young player and that means every year I will learn a lot. Hopefully, I will improve a lot.
“Now that I have made it into the team, it’s important to keep that place in the side so that I can help the club.
“We as players enjoy the performances and take a lot of pleasure in playing a good game.
“The coach has already set us a style and a strategy. We respect that strategy and the manager’s plans. For me, it’s all about helping with goals and helping by defending well. I really enjoy the football here.”
GETTING SHIRTY…Odsonne Edouard is tugged back by an Alashkert defender.
Edouard added: “At the beginning of the season, I really prepared very well physically. I know it’s important to be really fit to be able to have good performance individually and as a team.
“I worked during the holidays and also in the pre-season, so I have had a good preparation.
“If I’m looking physically well it means that everyone in the squad is also in great condition and that’s important.
“I have a very good relationship with Moussa. We understand each other very well outside football, but also on the field.
“I think that’s very important for the team. Of course, it helps to have a good friendship with him.
“It’s the same with every player on the pitch. I have a good relationship with them all and that always helps.”
