HIBS have rejected a second offer from Celtic for John McGinn, boss Neil Lennon has confirmed.
The Easter Road side knocked back a £1.5 million bid from the champions last week, but the Hoops came back with an improved offer of around £2million for the 22-year-old midfielder.
But the Edinburgh side’s gaffer admitted that had also been thrown out.
He said: “We have rejected two bids from Celtic. Our club has a valuation of the player. I don’t know what that is, but obviously Celtic have not met the valuation that Hibs want.”
McGinn is out of contract next summer and has already been the subject of interest from Championship teams Derby County, Ipswich, Birmingham and Nottingham Forest.
The Scotland international is likely to face NSI Runavik in the Europa League first qualifying round tomorrow night.
