CELTIC v RANGERS IN SUNDAY SWITCH

0

BRENDAN RODGERS’ first meeting against his former Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard will be shown live on Sky Sports on Sunday, September 2.

Celtic will take on Rangers in the first Old Firm game of the season with a noon kick-off in the east end of Glasgow.

Gerrard will be hoping to succeed where three previous Ibrox gaffers have failed – and beat Rodgers.

So far in his two seasons in charge of the champions, the Irishman has come up against Mark Warburton, Pedro Caixinho and Graeme Murty on 11 occasions and won nine and drawn two.

Gerrard’s first league game as Gers boss, at Aberdeen on Sunday August 5, has already been confirmed for live Sky coverage on Saturday, August 5 with a 1pm start.

Celtic’s match against Hearts at Tynecastle on August 11 will now have a 12.30pm commencement time.
