CARDIFF CITY are set to test Rangers ’ resolve with a £3million bid which could trigger a release clause in Josh Windass’ contract.
The newly-promoted Premier League outfit are long-term admirers of the Ibrox midfielder and are now poised to meet the Govan club’s evaluation of the former Accrington Stanley star.
Ex-boss Mark Warburton landed Windass in a bargain £200,000 switch two years ago.
He struck 18 goals last season and that sort of firepower has attracted the Welsh club’s manager Neil Warnock who is ready to push through a move.
Windass still has three years left on his contract.
