MOTHERWELL defender Andy Rose’s faces a hectic fitness fight to face Celtic in the Scottish Cup Final at Hampden on May 19.

The Fir Park star, so impressive in the 3-0 semi-final win over Aberdeen, cracked his collarbone in the goalless draw with Ross County at the weekend.

The Aussie was taken to hospital and X-rays confirmed the damage. Rose, 29, now has his arm in a sling and will miss the Fir Park side’s last four league games of the season.

Boss Stephen Robinson said: “He has a small crack on his collarbone. I really feel for the boy as he now faces a race against time to prove his fitness.

“I’m not ruling him out completely, but it would appear highly unlikely that he will be ready in time for the Final.”
