ON-LOAN Celtic defender Anthony Ralston is poised for his Dundee United debut in the Championship encounter against Queen of the South at Tannadice tonight.
Following the home draw against Inverness Caley Thistle at the weekend, Tayside boss Csaba Laszlo has admitted any opportunity to win the title has been blown.
Runaway leaders St Mirren are 19 points ahead and even if United win their three games in hand they will still need a sensational collapse from the Paisley outfit to open the door to an unlikely championship triumph.
Former Hearts gaffer Laszlo is ready to reshuffle his line-up and Hoops teenager Ralson, signed on Friday in an emergency deal, is likely to feature this evening.
He said: “I don’t want to put the rainbows over the windows and tell us there is still an opportunity for first place.
“I think it is more a battle for the second, third and fourth places.
“So, for this reason, I am happy that Anthony has joined us and I am sure he can help us.”
Ex-Celtic striker Scott McDonald could also step up to the first team after impressing from the substitutes’ bench in the last two outings.
