LIVERPOOL are being lined up as potential opponents for Celtic in a testimonial for captain Scott Brown.
Former Hoops boss Gordon Strachan paid a record fee between Scottish clubs of £4.4million when he bought the all-action midfielder from Hibs in 2007.
Brown, 32, who recently announced his decision to retire from the international set-up to concentrate on club football, has already been honoured with a special dinner earlier this month.
The glamour encounter would be the first time Brendan Rodgers has faced his former club since leaving Anfield in 2015.
Reports indicate the Merseyside outfit have been contacted by the Scottish champions to see if a date for the fixture can be found in July or August at Parkhead.
