KILMARNOCK boss Steve Clarke admitted he wasn’t thrilled at the prospect of a Scottish Cup replay against Aberdeen.
The Rugby Park gaffer saw his team battle back to achieve a 1-1 draw at Pittodrie yesterday.
They trailed to a ninth-minute goal from Graeme Shinnie, but earned another game on home soil following Kris Boyd’s expertly-taken penalty-kick in the 68th minute.
Clarke said: “The last thing we wanted was another midweek fixture because we’ve got a lot of them coming up.
“But we’ll take the replay. I think the tie is still 50-50.

“Aberdeen are maybe slight favourites because they are the team who have been up there for years and years.

“We’re trying to close the gap on the teams above us.

“We’re working hard as a group and our results are decent.”
