BROWN POISED FOR IRISH VISIT

0

MARTIN O’NEILL and Roy Keane are returning to Celtic – to honour Hoops skipper Scott Brown.

The 32-year-old midfielder is set to be rewarded with a glamour testimonial against the Republic of Ireland at Parkhead.

Brown joined the club 10 years ago in a £4.4million deal from Hibs and is in line for a bumper pay day with May 20 – the day after The Scottish Cup final – being pencilled in as a possibility.

A firm announcement is expected later this week.

Liverpool were linked as possible opponents, but an agreement could not be reached with Brendan Rodgers’ former club.

Brown has played over 450 games for the Hoops and is the club’s record European appearance holder.
