PATRICK ROBERTS’ hopes of making his first appearance since November were scuppered when Celtic’s Premiership clash with Dundee at Parkhead tonight was wiped out by snow.

And last month’s £1million signing Marvin Compper was also in the frame to be involved for the first time since his move from RB Leipzig.

Roberts has recovered from a hamstring strain and played for an hour in last Friday’s development team’s win over Partick Thistle.

Brendan Rodgers was ready to bring back the on-loan Manchester City winger against Neil McCann’s Tayside outfit, but it looks as though the youngster will have to wait until Saturday’s Scottish Cup quarter-final against Morton before making his comeback.

Centre-half Compper, 32, sustained a calf injury training in Dubai in January, but is fit again and could also to take his bow in front of his new fans in the Parkhead clash against Jim Duffy’s Championship side.

Kristoffer Ajer will be okay for the Cup-tie after receiving a head knock following a clash with team-mate Jozo Simunovic in the 2-0 win over Aberdeen at Pittodrie on Sunday.

Craig Gordon, Anthony Ralston, Nir Bitton, all knee knocks, Dedryck Boyata (groin), Leigh Griffiths (calf), Jonny Hayes (broken leg) and Stuart Armstrong (hernia) are still out.
