ALFREDO MORELOS’ agent will fly to Scotland this week as Rangers attempt to agree a contract extension with the Colombian striker.
Ibrox boss Graeme Murty admitted the frontman had earned the reward of an improved deal after the club reportedly rejected an £8 million bid from Beijing Renhe last month.
The 21-year-old striker has his heart set on extending his stay in Glasgow and the Ibrox side will attempt to put a financial package together that will keep him satisfied.
And the player’s US-based agent Michael Gorman is expected to arrive before Sunday’s trip to Hamilton Accies where he will meet Rangers bosses in a bid to thrash out a new contract.
Morelos, who cost £1million when he signed from HJK Helsinki in the summer, took his goal tally to 15 with his double in Sunday’s 6-1 Scottish Cup win over Ayr United at Somerset Park.
