HEARTS have confirmed the signing of Demi Mitchell on loan from Manchester United until the end of the season.
The 21-year-old has been a mainstay in the United reserves side and is moving to the Edinburgh club in order to gain some vital experience to help improve on his one appearances for the Old Trafford side.
Mitchell will join with Craig Levein’s side in Spain as they enjoy a warm weather camp before returning to Tynecastle for the visit of their fierce rivals, Hibs, in the Scottish Cup fourth-round next weekend.
Meanwhile, Hearts have made contact with Norwich City over the possibility of loaning Steven Naismith. The 31-year-old has fallen out of the plans of the Carrow Road outfit and the SMSM have linked him with a move to Ibrox.
However, it would appear that Ann Budge’s Hearts have decided to make an audacious move to bring the attacker to Scotland. Naismith, who started his career at Kilmarnock before moving to Rangers, is expected to decide his fate in the coming days.
