FIVE TALKING POINTS AFTER CELTIC’S 2-1 WIN AT PARTICK THISTLE

0
  1. Leigh Leigh Super Leigh: Only one place to start and that is Leigh Griffiths. Gave Celtic movement and purpose when we had none in the first half. A typical gallus goal from him and while he improved Celtic final third by 100% he never did anything that I wouldn’t expect of a striker. Unlike Odsonne who looked as mobile as a broken down bus in a traffic jam.

  2. Moussa Dilemma: Rodgers admits that there has been interest in the player and his loyalties are with players who are definitely going to be here in 9 days time. Is Moussa’s head gone? Is Rodgers showing who is boss? Are Celtic trying to force Moussa out the door? Whatever it is we seem to have dropped a bollock in the handling of this whole situation and no-one is coming out of it well.

  3. Ajer Anxiety: I think the rawness is now clear to see and pinning our hopes on this fellow to be the new Van Dijk is so far off that our hopes and realities are in different time zones. He requires more time and needs to toughen up.

  4. Passive Passengers: The first half saw us be toothless with too many players going through the motions and not forcing the game. Lack of creativity and anyone who saw us against Brechin could have predicted the toothless first half with the same starting 11. McGregor and Edouard are seeing their big chances deflating with nothing performances.

  5. Lustig Legs: Have they gone? Has too many games finally caught up with the cult Swede and last year was his Indian summer?
