DUNDEE’s Glen Kamara has confirmed that he is ‘definitely’ remaining at the Dens Park club, despite interest in the classy midfielder.
The 22-year-old joined from Arsenal in the summer and has been a revelation for Neil McCann’s Dark Blues and has been linked away. However, when asked if he was staying at Dundee, the Finish internationalist confirmed his intentions were to remain with the ‘Dee.
“Definitely. I’m looking to stay there and show what I can do, keep playing well for the team and, hopefully, climb up the table.”
Kamara credited his teammates and his manager for allowing him to shine in the middle of the park for the Premiership club.
“It’s been a really good year. We’re working hard and as a team we’re getting better.
“Personally it’s been really good, I’m getting game time and the manager has put trust in me to let me play.
“The manager has given me the chance to show what I can do.
“I’m enjoying my football and just getting game time is really enjoyable.
“Any player will tell you that just playing is really good and you get your confidence from that.”
Dundee return from their winter break with a visit from Inverness CT in the Scottish Cup, before the visit of Hibernian as McCann’s side look to put some distance between themselves and the foot of the table.
