ESPN MEXICO have reported that Pedro Caixinha is ready to raid his former club and secure a number of the Rangers’ summer signings, notably Carlos Pena.
Pena, 27, was a landmark signing for Caixinha from Guadalajara for around £2.2 million but has been on the fringes of the Rangers team after some poor performances.
However, Cruz Azul, Caixinha’s new side, have been linked with bringing the Mexican international in on a loan-to-buy deal.
5 goals for Pena in fourteen appearances for Pena has left him out of Graeme Murty’s plans and it would be beneficial for the Rangers squad to reuse the sizeable wage contribution going towards Pena.
Caixinha could be expected to bring in a number of other Rangers summer recruits after his appointment in December.
