STEPHEN ROBINSON faces the possibility of watching his side in the Betfred Cup Final from the stands.
His Motherwell side will face holders Celtic in the showpiece final on November 26th after beating Rangers 2-0 on Sunday. However, after a touchline bust-up with Pedro Caixinha, Robinson may be banned for the clash.
The 42-year-old was sent to the stand by Steven McLean after reacting to Caixinha’s touchline antics in the wake of Bowman’s elbow on Cardoso.
The SFA Compliance officer, Tony McGlennan, will now set a hearing date to discuss Robinson’s fate.
Meanwhile, Ryan Bowman has escaped punishment for the incident that lead to Cardoso leaving the pitch due to the breaking of his nose.
McGlennan deemed his actions to have been reckless, instead of serious foul play, which would’ve carried a sizeable punishment.
Bowman can consider himself more an a little fortunate at that outcome.
